Hello

My name is Valentina. I was born in the Ucraine, spent my childhood in the Crimea and now I live in St.-Petersburg.-the wonderful city of the white nights. When I was only a schoolgirl my father had 2 legs amputated because of vascular disease. I saw him fighting the disease and admired his willpower and character. It was in that time when I decided to become a nurse to help people overcome diseases, relieve the pain and give them hope that life is going on. When I was 17 I came to St-Petersburg , graduated from medical college and began working as a nurse in a hospital . It was rather difficult but I liked my job. In 1992 life has played a trick on me. I fell ill with cancer and had my leg amputated. It was like nightmare , but I had to wake up and learn to live anew.- to get used to pain, to solve problems I wouldn't have had unless that disease.

Eventually everything has settled. I got new job, new friends whom I met in the institute of prosthesing, I live alone with my dog. But some problems are still left- with prosthesing for example, I would like to travel to make new friends but I it is difficult financially. I hope that white night pages will help to make my dreams come true to solve the problems I cannot deal with alone. My dream is to meet a person able to understand and help me
